Issue 31 of NUG Magazine hits the streets!Featured, News — By NUG Magazine on June 27, 2012 at 11:11 am
Hello and welcome to the three-year anniversary issue of NUG Magazine!
When we started in 2009, we never expected this publication and brand to take off the way that it did, and we owe all of that to you our faithful readers and fans! We must also extend a special Thank You to all of our advertisers and sponsors who have continued with us over the years, whom without, this product wouldn’t work. We have had so many wonderful experiences over the last three years and have grown as a company, brand, and family!
In this issue, you will find The Chronisseur reviewing a grip of local strains, Cooking with Canna Chef Kim sharing her amazing medicinal recipes, and the recent installment of Aaron Evans’ outstanding glass column, Perpetual Motion. Also, make sure to check in with the SD OG Grower, Medicinal Mike and the comedians of the NugLife crew, and check out my product review on “The Hood†from Growlite.
Personally, I want to send a special shout-out and nod to every single person who has ever worked with, for, or alongside us here at NUG! All of the partners, contributors, staffers, interns, and family who have been so instrumental in assisting me in bringing this vision to life! I want to especially thank our amazing art director, Ian Rie! He has literally designed every single page of print and web over the history of NUG.
I also want to acknowledge my partner and friend who was instrumental in the early days of getting NUG off the ground, Dion Markgraaff, who is still living in exile due to our ridiculous cannabis prohibition laws. And of course, my beautiful wife, M.J. Smith, who held together the editorial department for all this time. She has been THE driving force in keeping the content of the magazine in line with our original vision.
There are many changes on the horizon for NUG, so make sure to keep your eye on the brand and the exciting things to come! Although I have chosen to move on and hang up the Ben G. Rowin moniker, my hope is that NUG will continue to thrive, entertain and inform a whole new generation of cannabis enthusiasts. It’s been a great, wild ride and I am glad you were all there with me every step of the way. I couldn’t have done it without you!
